Just the Beginning

In a perfect world, I would just play all day. Creatively speaking, there are just too many ideas, inspirations, and things to make and do. There should always be enough time to paint murals on your dining room walls, make paper mache trees in your children’s rooms, write a book, make a real secret garden, throw an amazing dinner party, design a new duvet cover, make the perfect Halloween costume, come up with a name for the business you and your sister are sure will be a success, figure out how to wire a chandelier you just found at the thrift shop and make Indian curry for the first time from scratch. In my perfect world, I wouldn’t have time to work or commute. I would just have enough time to create, be among friends and family and of course, eat well.
Unfortunately, I live in reality, just like the rest of us. The economy has affected my family and has seemed to place my perfect world way beyond reach. Work is long, life is hard, time is never available and money is scarce. The simple pleasures in life are going to have to suffice for now. It made our parents and our grandparents stronger. I suppose it is our turn. I just need a little creative therapy, an outlet. Be it shopping, cooking, interior design, fashion, entertaining, gardening, reading or crafting I just want to share some of my thoughts and finds. Hope you enjoy.
